The streamlined outpatient experience at Laser Spine Institute’s Scottsdale facility
Nearly 60 percent of patients who come to Laser Spine Institute for relief from chronic neck or back pain travel from out-of-state. Our patients are willing to travel because we offer an unmatched quality of care before, during and after surgery. Our streamlined patient experience caters to your needs so you can return to your daily activities quickly and comfortably. Once you make the first contact with us, here is what you can expect:
Getting started at Laser Spine Institute
Your experience at Laser Spine Institute begins by being partnered with one of our dedicated Spine Care Consultants. Your Spine Care Consultant can help you send us your MRI or CT scan for review to determine if you are a potential candidate for one of our outpatient procedures. Since so many of our patients travel to reach us, our Spine Care Consultants do their best to take care of as many important details as possible before coming to us for treatment.
Many patients within driving distance choose to come in and meet with a medical professional to discuss your spine condition and procedure options. Similar to our over-the-phone MRI review, one of our physicians will look at your MRI or CT scan, discuss your treatment options and let you know if you are a potential candidate for one of our procedures.
Our Care Management Team
If it is determined that you may be a candidate for minimally invasive spine surgery at Laser Spine Institute, our Care Management Team will be there to assist you in completing any necessary medical assessments and to schedule your visit with us. This team consists of medical professionals including a Registered Nurse as well as a Patient Concierge to work with you for a smooth experience.
If you are a candidate for minimally invasive spine surgery, we will start planning your schedule to travel to one of our regional centers for care. The majority of our patients are with us for five days, including pre- and postoperative evaluations. Patients may be required to rest for up to 48 hours after surgery. Since our facilities are outpatient ambulatory surgical centers, patients stay in a hotel for the duration of the visit. We will do our best to make this experience as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
